About the position

Essen Healthcare is seeking Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners to join their Primary Care Division, providing advanced primary and specialty care to patients across various locations in New York. The role involves performing physical exams, creating care plans, and administering diagnostic tests, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to underserved communities.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients.
• Ensure fulfillment of Essen Health Care's commitment to quality care.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of diseases in general practice.
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Document past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment, and plan.
• Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.
• Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations to diagnose conditions.
• Administer or prescribe treatments.
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage immediate treatment plans.
• Vaccinate patients to immunize them from communicable diseases.
• Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods.
• Consult with appropriate medical specialists when necessary and refer patients to subspecialists within the network.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program: FNP
• Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner
• National Board Certification required (AANP, ANCC, ONCC)
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus
• EMR/EHR experience is a plus
