Total Health Care and The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine are recruiting Urban Primary and Community Health Fellows. This partnership leverages both organizations' commitment to excellence in patient care - especially those in need, with a goal of reducing health disparities and improving the lives of the community we serve. This 18-month non-accredited fellowship is designed to prepare you for a career in academic and community medicine. Fellows will have tailored experience to advance their clinical and career objectives. Fellows will gain skills to teach medical students and residents, enhance clinical expertise, and develop special interests in the practice of urban based Family Medicine. This program will provide trainees with varied clinical exposures, mentorship, leadership development, and guided experience as an educator to learners at both our downtown faculty/resident practice as well as Total Health Care, an established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
