About the position

The Lecturer in Kinesiology will have the following academic qualifications: a doctorate degree in a related field (e.g., exercise physiology, kinesiology, sport science, etc.) or a master's degree if bolstered by advanced credentials (e.g., EP-C, CSCS, C-ISSN, etc.). The lecturer should have prior experience in teaching at the university level; previous skills as a researcher are not required as this position is teaching position. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required, along with excellent communication and collaborative skills. As a lecturer at a Christian university, strong commitment to Christian higher education, the university's mission and Christian identity, and the integration of faith and learning is expected. This individual should be able to articulate how Christian faith informs and enriches the field of Kinesiology.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching up to 30 credits per academic year
  • Teaching introductory courses such as Introduction to Physical Wellbeing and Physical Wellbeing courses
  • Teaching foundational courses of Kinesiology
  • Teaching advanced undergraduate courses such as Biomechanics and Administration of Exercise-Related Programs
  • Teaching graduate level courses such as Portfolio I & II (experiential learning)

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in a related field or a master's degree with advanced credentials
