About The Position

CLARK Material Handling Company, a 100-year-old global leader in the material handling and forklift industry, is seeking qualified candidates for the Facility & Warehouse Material Handler position. This role involves loading and unloading parts and material handling equipment, performing warehouse operations such as inventory transfers, and delivering inventory. The position requires safely operating various forklifts and material handling equipment, assisting the supervisor and maintenance department with projects, and potentially performing shipping, receiving, and delivery tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 2-4 years related experience in Material Handling, Warehouse, Shipping, or Receiving
  • Forklift Certification required.
  • Ability to handle a high volume and mix of assignments on a daily basis while multitasking.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be an analytical problem solver.
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with freight carriers, customers, coworkers and management.
  • Ability to move parts and material up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without any sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Dock/Warehouse experience helpful but will train.

Responsibilities

  • Processing all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Loading and unloading palletized and non-palletized material safely and efficiently, and securing freight inside trailers.
  • Accurately and efficiently receiving and processing all inbound trucks, products, material, and parts.
  • Counting and verifying that all incoming material matches the packing list and order.
  • Assisting other departments and the facility maintenance department with tasks such as landscaping, lawn care, ice/snow removal, minor plumbing, ground inspection, minor facility repairs, and installing office furniture and equipment.
  • Verifying serial numbers on all forklifts received and shipped against paperwork.
  • Completing inventory transfers as material is received or moved.
  • Unloading, unchocking, unpacking, separating, identifying, inspecting, counting, sorting, and delivering or parking all goods in proper locations.
  • Verifying inventory transfers by identifying truck project numbers, order numbers, part numbers, quantities, purchase orders, and material descriptions.
  • Using a computer to track material and truck storage locations, and to search inventory.
  • Identifying transfer errors and taking corrective actions.
  • Completing all related reports and paperwork.
  • Entering, retrieving, and understanding data from the computerized inventory system.
  • Discarding recyclable products appropriately.
  • Maintaining neat and orderly work and storage areas.
  • Maintaining OSHA required Daily Checklists for daily forklift safety and maintenance checks.
  • Supporting all company policies, including safety, housekeeping, and work performance.
  • Ensuring equipment is safe and operated safely.
  • Performing cycle counting and physical inventory as needed.
  • Meeting all safety requirements and policies and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Participating in the 5s program and maintaining a neat, organized, and safe work area.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities and initiatives.
