The Facility Manager is responsible for the management and operation of properties and staff at NAS Jacksonville (BUMED). The primary purpose is to provide leadership and direction for the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, structural, medical, and life safety systems, in accordance with contract documents and JLL standards. This role is crucial for ensuring contract compliance, quality assurance, and maintaining a positive client relationship.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant facilities, operations and maintenance management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of hospital building systems, including electrical, HVAC, medical gas, and fire suppression systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience with NFPA codes (including NFPA 99) and The Joint Commission Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals (CAMH).
  • Experience with MS Office suite, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), MAXIMO, and CMMS databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the operations and maintenance of all facility systems.
  • Oversee and prioritize the daily work activities and projects of subordinates.
  • Interact with customer personnel to coordinate work, communicate project details, and manage potential disruptions.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints regarding service or employee quality.
  • Develop material and labor cost estimates for corrective/maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance, and construction projects.
  • Perform field checks, Environment of Care rounds, and other oversight activities.
  • Prepare detailed budgets for operations and generate regular and ad-hoc reports.
