About the position

The position involves onsite building management of the Marine & Family Programs Division at the John A. Lejeune Education Center. The incumbent will provide technical assistance to patrons and employees using audio visual and computer equipment within the facility. Daily inspections of vacant rooms and common areas are required to check for cleanliness and maintenance issues, with the responsibility to initiate trouble calls and work requests for any maintenance problems. The role also includes maintaining control of furniture, fixtures, and equipment, managing key control, and coordinating with the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Facilities and Maintenance Division for facility upkeep. The position requires the ability to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and over 45lbs with assistance. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite building management of the Marine & Family Programs Division.
  • Assist patrons and employees with audio visual and computer equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections of vacant rooms and common areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
  • Initiate trouble calls and work requests for maintenance problems.
  • Follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion and satisfaction of building occupants.
  • Maintain control of furniture, fixtures, and equipment in the facility.
  • Manage key control and maintain key log.
  • Coordinate with MCCS Facilities and Maintenance Division for facility upkeep.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in property management, maintenance, materials requirements, and building operations and repair.
  • Knowledge in the operation of personal computers, audio visual equipment, and other office equipment.
  • Familiarity with a variety of integrated software programs.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
