About the position

The Facility Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients using an ambulette (wheelchair van). This role ensures that clients are properly secured and comfortable during transport, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients safely and timely using an ambulette (wheelchair van).
• Ensure clients are properly secured with appropriate restraints and seat belts.
• Lock wheelchairs appropriately during transport.
• Maintain client comfort by adjusting van temperature and providing blankets as needed.
• Comply with all safety-related guidelines and protocols for patient transportation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions.
• Certified in Basic First Aid.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Ohio Driver's license.
• STNA license preferred.
