About the position

The Facilities Technician at TSMC is responsible for maintaining and operating critical equipment to ensure seamless manufacturing processes. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where teamwork and technical skills are essential to uphold the company's commitment to innovation and excellence in semiconductor manufacturing. The technician will work on a compressed schedule, typically on night shifts, and will be involved in both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operations including monitoring equipment, taking rounds, and conducting pass downs between shifts.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment using established procedures and manuals.
  • Handle Hazardous Production Materials and operate electrical/mechanical equipment safely.
  • Work on a compressed schedule of 12-hour shifts, alternating between 3 days one week and 4 days the next.
  • Respond to emergency call outs and perform overtime as needed for special projects.
  • Utilize Respirator/SCBA gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Operate forklifts and perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) as required.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Strong professional attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a reliable work ethic.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office and work application programs.
  • Experience in operating automated systems with HMI controls.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for gas/chemical/CMP/vacuum/abatement delivery units.
  • Electronic troubleshooting experience for PLC controlled systems and components.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including working from ladders, lifting 50 lbs, and confined space entry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
  • Knowledge of gas/chemical/CMP/vacuum/abatement systems is a plus.
