We’re seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Facilities Maintenance Technician who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning buildings. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn the basics of facility upkeep, assist with repairs, and grow into a skilled facilities professional. You’ll work closely with experienced techs and contribute to the daily operations of our facilities by supporting repairs, maintenance tasks, and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • General Maintenance & Repairs
  • Help fix or replace doors, locks, windows, and basic furniture
  • Support minor carpentry tasks such as shelving or small repairs
  • Assist with drywall patching, painting, and floor maintenance
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks like unclogging drains or changing fixtures
  • HVAC & System Support
  • Replace air filters and ensure proper airflow
  • Check and report any HVAC performance issues
  • Learn to perform routine system checks
  • Electrical Assistance (Basic)
  • Replace lightbulbs and assist with basic fixture swaps
  • Assist with electrical work
  • Learn to safely use basic tools and equipment
  • Safety & Cleanliness
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Follow safety protocols and use required PPE
  • Identify and report any safety hazards in the building
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with facilities staff, vendors, and supervisors
  • Help set up rooms or spaces for meetings or events
  • Respond to basic facility service requests
  • Record-Keeping & Communication
  • Document work performed and materials used
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • A desire to learn facility maintenance tasks
  • Some experience using hand or power tools (preferred, not required)
  • Willingness to take direction and grow in a supportive environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Spanish bilingual (preferred, not required)
