This position is responsible for maintaining commercial food and beverage refrigeration equipment, performing routine repairs, and maintenance activities. The role involves promoting superior guest service and maintaining a positive organizational culture. The technician will also handle general plumbing, diagnose and repair various food service and refrigeration equipment, install and relocate equipment, and repair/calibrate controls and electrical wiring. Fabrication, assembly, and installation of electrical wiring, controls, and piping according to specifications and code are also key responsibilities. The role includes maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, changing filters, cleaning condensers and coils, and replacing HVAC and smoke eater filters. The technician will notify management of repair needs, communicate inventory status, perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks, and report security, environmental, health, and safety concerns. Receiving and completing work orders, maintaining accurate records, detecting needed repairs, and correcting or reporting unsafe conditions are also part of the job. The role ensures appropriate information flow for efficiency, compliance with codes and regulations, and actively updates maintenance programs, building management systems, and energy management efforts. Maintaining awareness of safety and accident prevention and ensuring team members are trained in safety policies and procedures are crucial. Confidentiality of sensitive information is required.
