The Facilities Specialist maintains restaurants through preventative maintenance on all aspects of the restaurant. This role involves assisting the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level, performing facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants, and formulating preventative maintenance schedules for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of restaurant facilities. This includes maintenance on cooking equipment, HVAC systems, sinks, plumbing, electrical circuits, and refrigeration units. The role also involves carrying out set procedures for facility malfunctions, training staff on maintenance and repair, ensuring adherence to maintenance practices, conducting maintenance seminars, and providing comprehensive maintenance visit recaps. Additionally, the Facilities Specialist identifies issues contributing to higher maintenance and repair costs, communicates these to management, provides guidance on facility records, performs equipment and building repairs, conducts new store turnover and walk-throughs, and serves as a liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors. The position supports the Operations Team in investigating facilities issues and acts as the facilities representative in operations management meetings, communicating information back to management. Field support is provided to the Development Department regarding initiatives and needs, and all Development Department guidelines are followed. Other duties may be assigned to advance projects or resolve business issues.
