The Facilities Project Supervisor at California State University, Sacramento is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation of various facilities. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of small groups or crews involved in maintenance, repair, construction, and renovation of facilities.
• Provide technical project leadership and act as a liaison with customers.
• Coordinate job estimates and ensure availability of supplies and materials for jobs.
• Plan and direct the work of skilled crafts workers and their assistants.
• Perform basic design work and read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate record-keeping systems.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a journey-level crafts worker in one or more building trades, including one year in a lead/supervisory capacity.
• Journey-level skills equivalent to those acquired through the completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in building and construction trades.
• Ability to operate building tools and equipment and perform arithmetic calculations as required.

Nice-to-haves

• Six or more years of journey-level experience including one to two years in a lead/supervising role.
• Experience working on a university campus.
• Willingness and/or experience with safe handling and abatement of asbestos.
