Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and emergencies of site facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. This role requires familiarity with hospital logistics and the organizational chart for chain of command to ensure successful execution. The Facilities Manager will assist maintenance staff with planning and coordinating repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and facility guidelines. A key part of the role involves managing the Brightly CMMS (work order system) with Shop Leads, keeping the system current in real-time, uploading documentation, and preparing monthly reports. The position also involves monitoring patient room closure activity and building strong relationships with Facilities and Clinical staff to coordinate work impacting patient care areas. Support will be provided to Shop Leads and Facilities staff with documentation for safety measures (e.g., Shutdown requests, LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space). The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the Facilities Virtual Board open items, following up on status, and ensuring appropriate parties are assigned. Coordination of preventive maintenance schedules with Shop Leads and management of the Shutdown log for in-house work and construction project support are also key duties. Participation in Facilities, HVAC, Plumbing, and Shutdown Huddles is expected. The role includes managing and submitting Maintenance Risk Assessments (MRAs) for in-house maintenance work and emergency events to ensure interim life safety and infection control measures are implemented, monitored, and documented. Attendance and reporting at Daily Dash (safety huddle) is required. The Facilities Manager will act as a First Responder in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Facilities Operations in managing emergency response events, coordinating mobilization, and providing updates and timelines to end users. This position requires off-hours and weekend support for Facilities staff as needed for all shifts, including emergency response. Assistance, support, and participation in shift coverage are necessary to ensure all shifts are covered. The role also involves assisting with the implementation and coordination of the 'Room A Day' program for all patient units to address preventative maintenance, minor repairs, patch/paint, plumbing, and electrical checks. Assistance with managing the 'Above Ceiling Work' permit program with the In-House Lead Inspector using CMMS, and assisting in managing 'Green' program requests to address clutter and debris in unauthorized areas blocking egress and life safety equipment are also part of the responsibilities. Participation in weekly Offsite Huddles and assisting with work order requests, supporting Offsite techs with rounds and other issues are required. The Facilities Manager will participate in Life Safety meetings to assist the Sr. Manager, Facilities Operations with regulatory testing and inspection schedules and documentation. Training will be provided by the Sr. Manager, Facilities Operations for Joint Commission Survey Readiness, other regulatory inspections, and protocols working in a healthcare environment. The Facilities Manager will work with the Sr. Manager, Facilities Operations, the team, and the hospital to ensure safety and compliance.
