About the position

The Facilities Manager at Jersey Mike's Subs is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and grilling equipment across 22 locations in the Northwest suburbs of Illinois and Wisconsin. This role combines technical expertise with strong time management skills, allowing the manager to shape the facilities program while ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, refrigeration, and grilling equipment.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management program.
• Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Manage routine inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Train and support store managers and staff on basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Travel between locations to ensure consistency and quality of facilities management.

Requirements

• EPA Refrigerant Certification
• High School diploma or GED
• 3 years of responsible experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial equipment
• Proven experience in facilities management, particularly with HVAC, refrigeration, and grilling equipment
• Strong technical skills in repair and maintenance of commercial equipment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to travel across Northwest suburbs of Illinois and Wisconsin
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Criminal background clearance

Nice-to-haves
