About The Position

Our facilities department is looking for a maintenance associate to join their team! This position will report to our Facilities Manager. In this role, you will provide preventive maintenance, and maintain good working and safe operating conditions in all our locations (corporate and warehouse).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to properly operate equipment used in skilled trades, power, and hand tools, etc.; adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials.
  • Must have working knowledge of basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios; read and follow instructions; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions. Able to read, understand and use a measuring tape.
  • Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes methods, practices, tools, and materials used in building maintenance and repair specialties.
  • Able to balance and prioritize work activities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems, and/or components as may be required (e.g. building structures, floors, lighting systems, HVAC units, electrical units/service, plumbing/sewer systems, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition. Proficient in tape and floating of Drywall and painting.
  • Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of required items.
  • Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Interact with staff at all levels and with groups of wide social, cultural, and educational diversity.
  • Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.
  • Operate and drive company vehicles.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Facilities team.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager.
