As a Facilities Maintenance Tech for Yancey Bros Co, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and repair procedure on Yancey’s buildings and mechanical equipment.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Basic computer skills.
Safety conscious.
Willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Commercial electrician experience required.
HVAC experience required.
Ability to work independently, utilizing mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Ability to repair and troubleshoot basic mechanical / electrical equipment.
Experience with 480 volt three-phase systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Ability work on high lift, up to 30 feet and lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability work in confined, dirty spaces.
Must be able to supply own tools for repairs to mechanical equipment (for things like pumps and gears).
Valid Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Repair and troubleshoot mechanical / electrical equipment and periodic maintenance of equipment (pumps; gears; piping; electrical systems including PLL's, logic contracts, and VFD's; etc.)
Troubleshoot electrical systems (ie OH cranes and RTA's)
Backwash filter systems, clean foot valves and filtration systems
General maintenance of buildings such as painting, concrete repairs, replacing light bulbs, sweeping, mopping and other general housekeeping duties
Changing air filters on A/C units
Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
