About The Position

The Facilities Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the premium member experience by ensuring the facility is spotless and well-maintained. This role is integral to the overall experience that members pay for, contributing to a feeling of quality and care throughout the club. The Facilities Associate is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the club, including changerooms, washrooms, fitness floors, studios, recovery areas, lobby, and common spaces, adhering to the Altea standard. The role requires proactively addressing maintenance needs before they are noticed by members and handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, following WHMIS protocols. The Facilities Associate works as part of a custodial team, taking direction from the Team Lead Facilities Associate to ensure the club operates at its best.

Requirements

Comfortable working in a large, active facility with pace and physical stamina throughout a full shift
Reliable, punctual, and takes genuine ownership of the quality of their work
Available for a mix of early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend shifts
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C, maintained annually
Criminal Background Check required prior to commencement

Nice To Haves

Experience in a custodial, janitorial, or cleaning role is an asset. Full training will be provided

Responsibilities

Clean and Maintain the Facility: Changerooms, washrooms, fitness floor, studios, recovery areas, lobby, and common spaces. Every area, every shift, at the Altea standard.
Stay Ahead of the Club: Move through the building with purpose, addressing what needs attention before a member notices it.
Handle Chemicals and Equipment Safely: Use cleaning products correctly, follow WHMIS protocols, and operate equipment with care on every shift.
Work Within the Team: Take direction from the Team Lead Facilities Associate and contribute to a custodial team that keeps the whole club running at its best.
