The position involves testing and consulting services for the built environment, including property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures. Responsibilities include exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation, along with occasional field and laboratory testing. The role also requires assisting with the preparation of reports, proposals, and projects, interacting with senior staff members on various projects, scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians, mentoring other staff, and promoting a safe workplace with proper use of PPE.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
  • 0-2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
  • In lieu of education, 4 years as ECS Facilities Staff Associate or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required
  • Experience with non-destructive testing preferred
