About the position

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE) plays a crucial role in assisting individuals without health insurance in navigating the enrollment process for various government programs and health plans. This position involves conducting interviews, screening potential members, and providing education on health plan options. The MFE is responsible for achieving enrollment goals, maintaining relationships with community agencies, and ensuring accurate processing of applications and recertifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective members without health insurance and assist with the enrollment process.
• Conduct interviews and screen potentially eligible recipients for enrollment into government programs such as Medicaid and Child Health Plus.
• Assist families with their applications and gather necessary documentation.
• Provide education and support to individuals navigating the health insurance system.
• Submit completed applications adhering to submission deadlines set by NYSOH and Molina.
• Assist current members with recertification of their healthcare coverage.
• Participate in community outreach projects and events for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external business partners and community organizations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions.
• Knowledge of Managed Care insurance plans.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
