About the position

The Marketplace Facilitated Enroller (MFE) plays a crucial role in assisting individuals without health insurance in enrolling in various government programs and health plans. This position involves conducting interviews, screening potential members, and guiding them through the enrollment process, ensuring they connect with the necessary healthcare services. The MFE is also responsible for maintaining relationships with community agencies and ensuring compliance with enrollment guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective members without health insurance and assist with the enrollment process.
• Conduct interviews and screen potentially eligible recipients for enrollment into Government Programs such as Medicaid and Child Health Plus.
• Assist in enrollment into Qualified Health Plans, offering all plans and products.
• Provide education and support to individuals navigating the application process.
• Gather necessary documentation and assist clients in selecting appropriate health plans.
• Process paperwork accurately and completely, including follow-up documentation and reports.
• Assist current members with recertification of their healthcare coverage.
• Participate in community outreach projects and events for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external business partners and community organizations.
• Attend external meetings and community health fairs as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum one year of experience working with State and Federal Health Insurance programs.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions.
• Knowledge of Managed Care insurance plans.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.

Nice-to-haves

• AA/AS - Associates degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
