About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is seeking Face to Face Interpreters who are fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and/or Urdu. As a face-to-face interpreter, you will use your language skills to assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments. This role offers a flexible schedule with good pay, allowing you to earn money by taking on assignments. The work is rewarding as you use your bilingual skills to help those in need. Assignments are available 24/7/365, though most are requested during business hours. You can choose to take as many or as few assignments as you are available for.

Requirements

Located in the Central Ohio area.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints.
Pass a 10-panel drug screening.
Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
Fluent in English and Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and/or Urdu.

Nice To Haves

No previous professional interpretation experience is required.
English as a second language (ESL) speakers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments using your language skills.
Interpret face-to-face, not via video or telephone.
