Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting shop or contract drawings to lay out and install pipes.
• Assembling and installing piping systems, pipe hangers, supports, and related parts, ensuring everything is aligned and secure.
• Using blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding procedures to select the correct tools, materials, and techniques for each project.
• Setting up welding equipment and choosing the right welding method (TIG, MIG, or stick welding) based on the project needs.
• Cutting, fitting, and welding pipes and metal parts using proper welding tools and techniques.
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to meet required specifications.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent, plus five (5) years of welding experience.
• Proven experience in both pipe welding and pipefitting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding instructions.
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of a variety of welding tools, materials, and equipment.
• Experience working with metals like carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
• Skills in TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and understanding).
