The Fabrication Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to develop the next generation of skilled fabrication professionals within a custom fabrication job shop environment. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and progressive skill development, the apprentice will learn fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, blueprint reading, safety practices, and production processes over a structured four-year apprenticeship program. This position is intended for individuals who are committed to building a long-term career in manufacturing and custom fabrication. Candidates selected for this role are required to commit to completing the full four-year apprenticeship program and maintaining satisfactory performance, attendance, safety, and participation standards throughout the program duration. The program will entail 144 hours of instructional training per year through mostly evening classes, in addition to working full time (2080) hours a year at APX on a day shift.
