About the position
The F&I (Finance and Insurance) Manager is responsible for overseeing dealership finance and insurance procedures, assisting customers in financing their purchases, and closing deals on additional product offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of financing options, strong communication skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role and will support the sales team by building relationships and adhering to ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations and assistance to customers in order to arrange the financing of their purchases.
- Present customers with additional product offerings to enhance their vehicle and ownership experience.
- Ensure sales are structured to produce the highest profitability.
- Maintain proficiency and certifications as required for the position.
- Accurately desk deals, submit deals to lenders for approval, make credit decisions, and effectively close deals.
- Ensure every deal is fully aligned with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Prepare paperwork, contracts, and deliver deals.
- Accurately audit team deals post-sale and analyze for improvements.
- Guarantee the expeditious funding of all contracts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Finance and Insurance (F&I) manager.
- Deep knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures.
- Proficient at structuring deals for maximum profitability.
- Well-versed in title laws and registration process.
- Professional personal appearance and extraordinary verbal/written communication skills.
- Expertise in negotiation and presentation skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- F&I AFIP Certification considered a plus.
