About the position

The Food & Beverage Manager at KPMG Lakehouse is responsible for leading the food and beverage division, ensuring exceptional service and a positive experience for guests. This role involves training and developing a skilled team, collaborating with various departments, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance with local laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to effectively train and develop a team of skilled colleagues to service the facility's beverage outlets.
  • Assist with menu planning and offer support to servers and bartenders during peak periods.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of local laws and company policies as it pertains to facility food & beverage service, and ensure team members are properly trained in responsible alcohol service.
  • Work with team leaders to creatively enhance the participant experience within beverage outlets through collaboration with facility leaders and outside vendors.
  • Work closely with Event Planning team to ensure effective scheduling of beverage team members to ensure a seamless F&B experience by all participants.
  • Ensure staff members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and control budgets with a focus on facility beverage cost and inventory control.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in food and beverage leadership, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Refined oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, participants and business partners.
  • Established experience as a team leader, with proven ability to strategically install practices to achieve business goals and motivate team members.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
