About the position
The Extrusion/Process Technician at Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC will play a crucial role in the preparation and analysis of samples, as well as the operation of extrusion and injection molding processes. This position is essential for ensuring quality control and supporting the production of polymer-based parts in Batavia, IL.
Responsibilities
- Prepare scintillator samples for light yield measurement.
- Measure samples using existing system and record data in excel.
- Prepare coating samples for reflectivity measurements.
- Support operation of the extrusion line by assisting in both the running of the extrusion line and quality control of the resultant parts.
- Support operation of the injection molding of parts by assisting in both the running of the injection molder and quality control of the resultant parts.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the polymer industry.
- Experience in profile extrusion, including line operation and die and sizer design fundamentals.
- Experience in injection molding, including machine operation and mold design.
- Experience in plastics testing and analysis.
- Basic skills in the use of computers.
