About the position

The Export Coordinator at Life Fitness is responsible for managing the day-to-day planning and problem-solving of shipments from various distribution centers and suppliers. This role involves optimizing transportation costs while meeting customer expectations and collaborating with multiple teams, including Demand Planning, Customer Operations, and Trade Compliance. The position requires teamwork and mentorship of staff members, and it operates in a hybrid work environment with in-office collaboration days.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day planning and problem-solving as the primary operational liaison to Supply Chain, Customer Ops, Trade Compliance, and end customers.
  • Review daily load plans for feasibility and accuracy across multiple locations and audit with established reporting parameters.
  • Backfill other Planner functions for multiple locations as needed.
  • Work with shipping locations to identify schedules and modes of transportation, coordinating shipment schedules with warehouse coordinators and carriers.
  • Coordinate the consolidation of products from multiple shipping locations, manufacturing facilities, and/or suppliers.
  • Communicate with overseas offices to schedule freight forwarders and carriers for shipments.
  • Complete freight quotes and routing requests, tracking and tracing shipments as required.
  • Perform Oracle Order Management functions including order entry and date management.
  • Perform Oracle Shipping functions such as Pick Release and Trip Building, reviewing supply/demand of inventory.
  • Ensure all required export documentation is prepared accurately and submitted on time, maintaining documents for duty drawback submission and auditing.
  • Knowledge of AES filings and monitoring monthly metrics.
  • Train and mentor the team, including creating and updating work instructions.
  • Complete or assist with other projects or tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of transportation or distribution related activities including International Export.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or equivalent.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
