About the position

The Tax Preparer & Tax Reviewer position at All Accounting Services in Hialeah, FL, is a full-time role focused on preparing and reviewing personal and business tax returns. This position offers a balanced work schedule, with a four-day workweek during the non-tax season, and emphasizes the importance of work-life balance. The role requires collaboration with Tax Managers and involves staying updated on tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex 1040 tax returns for individuals, including all schedules.
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparing Corporate Tax returns (1120, 1120S, & 1065).
  • Double-check and review returns prepared by other preparers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify all sources of income and expenditures to determine forms needed for proper tax return preparation.
  • Utilize established procedures to find and apply all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits.
  • Complete continuing education annually to stay updated on new laws.
  • Assist clients with tax questions over the phone or in person.
  • Demonstrate proficient computer skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and review.
  • Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and math skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
