About the position
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team, focusing on both tax preparation and bookkeeping/accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a small team environment while valuing flexibility in their work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile cash, bank, and credit card accounts and revenues
- Adjust journal entries
- Prepare sales and use tax returns
- Perform payroll reconciliation
- Prepare individual and business tax returns
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive tax and accounting experience at a CPA firm
- Accounting degree
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Valid Enrolled Agent license (preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Lacerte, QBO, and Excel
