About the position
The Surgical Tech position at Community offers a dynamic opportunity to directly impact patient care by assisting in over 1,000 surgical cases per month. This role involves preparing operating rooms, scrubbing in for surgeries, and providing core assistance across various surgical specialties, including robotics, orthopedic, and bariatric surgery. Responsibilities
- Prepare and turn over operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Scrub in and assist the surgeon during operations.
- Provide core assistance for a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
- Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
- 6 months of Surgical Technologist experience or graduation from a recognized Surgical Technology Program required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
