Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate home caregiver to join their growing team. This role offers flexible scheduling with both part-time and full-time options available, allowing caregivers to design a work schedule that suits their needs. The position focuses on providing non-medical support to senior clients in their homes, ensuring they receive the care and companionship they need.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical support to senior clients in their homes.
- Supply personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide friendly companionship and socialization.
- Assist clients with mobility-related challenges, such as walking and transfers.
- Issue medication reminders when required.
- Transport clients to doctor's appointments and errands.
- Perform meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and proof of current auto insurance.
- Ability to perform all personal care and hygiene assistance functions as described.
- Submit to state/national criminal background check, state fingerprinting, and drug screening.
- Ability to transfer patients and provide needed mobility assistance, including turning immobile patients who are bed-ridden.
- 1 year of senior caregiving experience is preferred.
