About the position
Visiting Angels is seeking a compassionate male caregiver to provide non-medical support to senior clients in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling with day and evening shifts available, allowing caregivers to design their work hours. The position emphasizes one-on-one care, ensuring caregivers limit their exposure to the public while delivering essential services to clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical support to senior clients in their homes
- Supply personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide friendly companionship and socialization
- Assist clients with mobility-related challenges, such as walking and transfers
- Issue medication reminders when required
- Transport clients to doctor's appointments and errands
- Perform meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping duties
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and proof of current auto insurance
- Ability to perform all personal care and hygiene assistance functions as described
- Submit to state/national criminal background check, state fingerprinting, and drug screening
- Ability to transfer patients and provide needed mobility assistance, including turning immobile patients who are bed-ridden
- 1 year of senior caregiving experience is preferred
