About the position
As a Lineman I Telecom at Communications Construction Group, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications fiber and copper cables. This role emphasizes safety and compliance with regulations while providing essential services in various locations. Responsibilities
- Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
- Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, and climbing hooks.
- Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators.
- Direct traffic flow in accordance with local DOT guidelines.
- Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.
- Work in multiple locations.
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior experience as a lineman placing aerial and underground telecommunication cable (fiber and coax) in OSP and ISP environments.
- Ability to climb utility poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet.
