About the position

The Experienced Business Tax Associate at Intuit is responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This role involves utilizing TurboTax Live Business to assist clients in completing their taxes while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws. The position emphasizes customer interaction through video communications, requiring strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
• File tax extensions as needed.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
• Document customer interactions and maintain records.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Possession of related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
