About The Position

Our Expeditor role is a vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring smooth and efficient food service. You'll manage the flow of orders, communicate with the kitchen and waitstaff, and ultimately deliver food to guests in a timely and accurate manner. The mindset for this role is to be the gatekeeper of speed, accuracy, and quality through using senses, skills, and intuition. This role involves processing orders, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with the kitchen to prioritize and prepare dishes. Maintaining constant communication between the kitchen and waitstaff, relaying information about order status, special requests, and any necessary adjustments is key. You will run food from the kitchen to the tables, ensuring proper plating and presentation. Addressing any customer complaints or concerns related to food service is also part of the role. Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as setting tables, clearing plates, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment is expected. Being knowledgeable about the menu items and preparation methods to answer questions and assist customers is important. Adherence to all food safety and health regulations is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate and give directions, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to listen effectively, process information quickly and accurately, and transfer knowledge in a variety of settings.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

  • A positive attitude and good manners.
  • Neat personal appearance and proper personal hygiene.
  • Valid Server Permit (ABC Card).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position.

Benefits
