Expansion Partnerships Lead

ArtsyNew York, NY
$80,000 - $120,000Hybrid

About The Position

We’re looking for an Expansion Partnerships Lead to grow strategic partnerships across the global art ecosystem. This role is designed for someone deeply embedded in the art world who can open doors immediately — someone who has and can build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across galleries, art fairs, museums, and art-adjacent businesses. This is a revenue carrying role with clear performance targets tied to advertising, data product growth, and subscriptions. This role sits within Artsy and Artnet’s Expansion team which is responsible for growing revenue across both brands—deepening existing partner relationships while developing new opportunities across the art ecosystem. You will be responsible for selling and scaling our advertising offerings to art businesses (incl. galleries, museums, art fairs, and other related businesses), and cross-selling new and existing products across Artsy and Artnet's partner bases. You'll have the opportunity to help re-define the playbook and shape how we position our brands to partners and cultural institutions globally.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in advertising sales, digital media partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the art, luxury, culture, or lifestyle sectors.
  • An established network within the contemporary art world and can immediately engage senior decision-makers across leading galleries, museums, fairs, and related institutions.
  • Highly relationship-oriented but also comfortable operating in a metrics-driven environment with clear pipeline and revenue accountability.
  • Understanding of how brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual identity contribute to successful advertising partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing business function.
  • Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence across both creative and commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience using Salesforce and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline health and performance reporting.
  • Currently authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • This role will be based in New York City, with 3+ days/week in-office.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer highly structured environments with established playbooks rather than building processes and partnerships from the ground up.
  • Are uncomfortable balancing relationship-driven sales with increasing accountability around metrics, pipeline management, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow partnerships with galleries, museums, art fairs, and art-adjacent businesses across advertising and our portfolio of commercial products.
  • Leverage your existing network within the art world to create immediate commercial opportunities and accelerate partnership growth.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
  • Develop strategic, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across the art ecosystem.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities across our product suite as the business evolves—from advertising and intelligence tools to entirely new offerings in development.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Flexible time off
  • Comprehensive healthcare & benefit options, including: medical, dental, parental leave, short- and long-term disability, Employee Assistance Program featuring free mental health support, 401k, commuter benefits, flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), financial wellness support & resources, and more
  • Professional development, including: mentoring, lunch & learns, regular training, 1:1 management, and an open feedback culture
  • Engaging opportunities and internal programming globally, to foster new relationships and build upon our collaborative community. Including: happy hours, holiday parties, global "All Hands" meetings, "Artsy Salon" (a yearly exhibition of our team's creativity), attendance to art world events, and more
