The Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer oversees all operations of the Office of the President, including staff management, budget administration, and the implementation of policies and procedures. The role provides coordination and oversight of core initiatives, serves as the President's strategic liaison to internal and external stakeholders, and ensures the institution achieves its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CEO and Chief Operating Officer on all matters related to the business.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the university, including IT, marketing, and sales.
  • Designing, establishing, and maintaining an organizational structure and staffing.
  • Manage all financial functions including controlling/accounting, board and regulatory reporting, treasury and money management.
  • Plan and oversee schedules and administrative process controls.
  • Develop and maintain risk management strategies to provide a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Create crisis management and business continuity plans.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the President or Board of Trustees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Higher Education, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, business administration, or a related field.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
