About the position

The Executive Project Developer at Trane Technologies is a senior-level role focused on leading energy services project development across the US and Canada. This position involves strategic planning, client engagement, and oversight of energy services projects, particularly in the healthcare sector. The role requires collaboration with regional teams to enhance capabilities in acquiring and executing energy services projects, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Energy Services strategic planning and leadership across North America.
• Create and execute plans to drive regional office implementation of key technologies and programs.
• Anticipate industry changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight for energy engineering and measurement & verification leaders.
• Assist regions with client qualification and meetings during the acquisition phase.
• Lead regional audits for HVAC, Lighting, Controls, Renewable Energy Systems, and special systems.
• Plan and manage audit schedules and budgets, ensuring quality control of deliverables.
• Engage with C-suite level clients to define objectives and business drivers.
• Coach sales and development teams on preparing large performance contracting jobs.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience leading project development teams with executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with all phases of energy services and performance contracting projects.
• Demonstrated experience in Energy Services sales, particularly in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and tools for strategy planning and problem solving.
• Ability to influence and lead groups to achieve goals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Municipal, University, Schools, and Commercial and Industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with project management software such as ProCore.
