About the position

The Executive Director will oversee the planning, organization, development, and direction of programs and activities aimed at supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities in the community. This role involves advising on community needs, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering community relations and leading fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Program, plan, and develop agency services.
  • Resource development and fundraising.
  • Fiscal management and budgeting.
  • Development and management of the agency's annual budget.
  • Building and maintaining community relations with residents, businesses, and local/state legislators.
  • Personnel management, training, and staff development.
  • Development of an overall work plan and supervision of staff and day-to-day operations.
  • Serve as a liaison to federal, state, and local agencies and organizations serving the aging population.
  • Recruit, coordinate, and manage volunteers in the agency's operations and programs.
  • Report to the Board of Directors on programs, operations, and finances.
  • Develop and submit grant proposals.
  • Maintain agency's regulatory compliance.
  • Lead fundraising efforts and maintain emergency preparedness protocols.

Requirements

  • Five years experience in senior leadership roles with a strong background working with the aging population.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving goals.
  • Experience in business development and leading fundraising efforts.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field.
