About the position
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of a Senior Living Community in Henrico, VA, ensuring quality resident care and promoting wellness. This role involves leadership in various departments, including wellness, sales, dining, activities, housekeeping, and facility maintenance, while fostering a supportive environment for both residents and team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care and various departments.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate new team members.
- Ensure staffing levels meet state regulations and align with company budgets.
- Lead in accordance with the company's mission, values, and applicable laws/regulations.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Work effectively with team members, residents, ownership groups, community groups, and government agencies.
- Assist the community during emergencies.
- Ensure financial operations align with company forecasts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in business, health care, hotel/restaurant management, or a closely related area.
- Three or more years of leadership experience in the healthcare or senior living industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
- Background in financial management, including budget preparation and cash flow management.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and cloud-based operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
