The Executive Director, Specialty Vision Products (SVP) is a senior commercial leader responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and performance of Bausch + Lomb’s Specialty Vision Products business. Reporting to the president, global Vision Care, this role provides end‑to‑end leadership across marketing, sales, professional affairs, and customer engagement for a differentiated portfolio focused on complex and custom vision solutions. The Executive Director sets the vision, drives innovation, and ensures strong execution to accelerate growth, expand market leadership, and deepen partnerships with Eye Care Practitioners globally.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in medical devices, vision care, or related healthcare industries.
  • Experience in specialty vision care, contact lenses, ophthalmic devices strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading complex global or multi-region commercial organizations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Deep experience in sales, marketing, and go‑to‑market strategy, ideally within specialty or practitioner‑delivered healthcare.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence at executive levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and data‑driven decision‑making.

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L accountability for the Specialty Vision Products business, including revenue growth, margin performance, and operating discipline.
  • Define and execute the multi‑year strategic roadmap for the SVP portfolio, aligned with enterprise Vision Care objectives.
  • Lead portfolio prioritization, lifecycle management, and innovation planning to meet evolving practitioner and patient needs in specialty vision care.
  • Translate market dynamics, competitive insights, and customer feedback into actionable commercial and investment strategies.
  • Align forecasting, demand planning, and investment decisions with enterprise financial planning processes.
  • Set the integrated global (or regional, as applicable) commercial strategy across marketing, sales, pricing, and channel execution.
  • Ensure excellence in go‑to‑market models, sales force effectiveness, and practitioner engagement strategies.
  • Oversee development and execution of launch strategies for new products and major innovations, in close partnership with R&D and Operations.
  • Drive strong collaboration with regional and local commercial teams to ensure consistent execution and scalable best practices.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing, inclusive leadership team across Sales, Marketing, Professional Relations, and Customer Support functions.
  • Set clear expectations, foster accountability, and promote talent development and succession planning.
