About the position

The Executive Chef 2 at Sodexo Government Services will lead the culinary operations at Holloman Air Force Base, overseeing a team of cooks and Airmen to deliver high-quality dining experiences. This role focuses on managing food production, ensuring compliance with culinary standards, and fostering customer relations while maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily food production including production planning and controls.
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality.
  • Manage food costing, controls, and compliance.
  • Maintain high expectations for customer service and quality of food.
  • Develop and train Airmen in culinary skills.

Requirements

  • Strong culinary background with a Culinary Degree or Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a culinary staff.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume facility.
  • Strong management and relationship-building skills.
  • Focus on food safety/sanitation and physical safety (ServSafe certification required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in military or government food service operations.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and food service management software.
