About The Position
THIS IS HARD WORK — NOT A JOYSTICK JOB. NOW HIRING: ENTRY-LEVEL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR / LABORER. Reese, Michigan | Full-Time. DHT Excavating — A Division of DHT Group. BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP AND GET THE JOB DONE. At DHT Excavating, we don’t hand out easy jobs and we don’t babysit employees. We’re looking for motivated individuals who are ready to work hard, learn the trade, and earn their spot. This position is built around: Physical labor, Outdoor work, Long days during peak season, Teamwork, Accountability, Earning your seat in equipment. Yes, you may operate equipment at times. No, that is NOT the primary role at entry level.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to handle physical labor every day
- Positive attitude and ability to work with a crew
- Ability to follow directions and work safely
- Valid driver’s license required
Nice To Haves
- Construction or excavation experience preferred
- CDL-A preferred but NOT required
Responsibilities
- Assisting excavation crews with trenching, grading, and site prep
- Shoveling, raking, cleanup, and groundwork
- Supporting utility and pipe installation crews
- Loading and unloading materials
- Operating skid steers, mini excavators, and small loaders when assigned
- Performing basic equipment inspections and maintenance
- Working outdoors in mud, dust, heat, rain, and changing conditions
- Traveling out of town during busy season as needed
