As an Environmental Services Technician in Housekeeping at Gunnison Valley Health, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for discharge/transfer cleaning.
- Disinfection of patient care areas and common areas on assignment.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles using proper chemical use and equipment handling.
- Follow all infection prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Healthcare support services and/or environmental services, hospitality or a related field preferred.
- Licenses/Certification: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) preferred.
