About The Position

This part-time role involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, primarily children's birthday parties, within a Michaels store. The position also includes customer service responsibilities such as assisting shoppers, operating the cash register, and completing operational tasks like truck unloading and merchandise duties. The goal is to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests while upholding store standards.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including children's birthday parties and craft classes.
Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects, perform face painting, and other activities.
Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork.
Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
Create backup or emergency plans as needed.
Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards.
Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining restrooms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
