Requirements

  • Must be able to load, enter, and operate a Manual 18 Speed Tractor.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs. or more.
  • Must possess a Class A License.
  • Must maintain DOT requirements for the license.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must submit to Federal Pull Notices.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 2+ years prior Over the Road Trucking experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand trucks/pallet jacks/forklifts.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • In-depth knowledge of routes within the region is very important as the driver is expected to plan trips and chart shorter routes before embarking on any journey to shorten delivery time.
  • Expansive knowledge of road signs and safety procedures is expected of the driver.
  • Candidates should reside in regional proximity to 'home base'.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to be on Road for long periods (anywhere from 3 weeks to 3+ months tours).

Responsibilities

  • Prep, drive, and maintain event trucks for various activations.
  • Load and transport event gear and assets, ensuring they arrive in good condition.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down branded equipment on-site.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the event footprint.
  • Restock product and help manage crowd flow.
  • Log mileage, hours, fuel, IFTA information, and receipts.
  • Monitor vehicle health and address minor issues.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and event partners.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections on MEC Units to identify and repair minor faults, and report major mechanical breakdowns.
  • Use e-Log and maintain Vehicle Trip, Fuel, and IFTA Logs as required by DOT.
  • Observe and comply with all federal, state, and local traffic regulations.
  • Deliver, set up, and break down trailers, equipment, and handle product for assigned events.
  • Ensure MEC vehicles are always neat, tidy, and polished, performing regular upkeep such as inflating tires, refueling, managing fluid levels, and tightening nuts and bolts.
  • Load and unload Tractors/Trailers manually and with Pallet Jacks and forklifts.
  • Meet customer service expectations regarding daily communications, problem resolution, and follow-through.
  • Operate equipment safely, following all safety regulations and precautions.
  • Communicate with supervisors or clients using wireless devices or on-board computer systems.
  • Ensure safe transportation and delivery of product and assets to designated locations.
  • Report any delay that may affect timely delivery to the logistics manager, operations manager, and client.
  • Report any accident incurred during asset transportation to the supervisor immediately.
