About the position
The Kennel Attendant position is essential for providing daily care for boarded animals and assisting with kennel maintenance. This part-time role involves various tasks such as cleaning, bathing, exercising, and feeding the animals, as well as administering medication and monitoring their behavior. The position requires availability on certain holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Daily care for boarded animals
- Exercising, feeding, administering medication, and monitoring behavior
- Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
- Must be available to work certain Holidays and Weekends
- Reporting changes in animal behavior, health or concerns to Manager
- Other duties as assigned by Owner and/or Kennel Manager
- Washing, drying, and folding laundry
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more and stand on feet for long periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience with animals preferred
- Customer service attitude
- Organizational skills
- Team oriented, enjoys working as part of team
