About the position

The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural precast estimates. This position involves collaborating with Senior Estimators and Sales teams to ensure that estimates and budgets align with bid strategies and project requirements. The Estimator will also manage incoming estimates and opportunity tracking through Salesforce, and support the Glass Estimator as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of architectural precast estimates.
  • Coordinate incoming estimates and opportunity tracking through Salesforce.
  • Support and coordinate with the Glass Estimator as required.
  • Work with Senior Estimators and Sales teams to ensure estimates and budgets are aligned with bid strategies.
  • Perform quantity survey (take off) for all materials included in the scope of the bid.
  • Assist in the pricing and bidding of construction projects.
  • Communicate with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements.
  • Conduct reviews of milestone documents for the development and pricing of value alternative opportunities.
  • Participate in the internal estimate review process.
  • Assist with the final assembly of estimates for internal reviews and presentations to owners.
  • Collect and organize all bid information for future reference after bid completion.
  • Aid field operations with change order pricing if needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related major, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager and/or 5 years' experience as a Project Manager is preferred.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • General knowledge of construction principles and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications or work with a model in their absence.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Suite (Office, Outlook, Excel, Project), AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and basic knowledge of estimating technology and tools such as WinEst, BIM, Assemble, Revit.
