About The Position

Metal Sales is now part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family, strengthening our commitment to serving our communities where we live, work, and play with quality and innovative metal building solutions. Prepares estimates from information received such as contract drawings, specifications, and addendums using in-house pricing software, supplemental design and pricing programs and information obtained from vendors. Identifies exclusions, discrepancies, missing information and obtains clarification and qualifies the quotation based on that information. Provides adds, deducts, or alternates as requested to estimates that require special pricing beyond the current capabilities of the pricing software. Ensures the use of the most current pricing information when preparing the estimate. Builds and maintains Builder/Vendor relationships. Communicates with Builders, Sales, Customer Service and Engineering regarding any clarification of scope/design intent that the Estimator was involved in. Manages and prioritizes multiple workflows simultaneously. Continually improves productivity, accuracy and ability. Understand the role in the overall system and be willing to step outside that role. Reports to Estimating Manager. Travel is not typical, however for training purposes it may be requested.

Requirements

Good mathematical and analytical skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods
Ability to review and interpret project specifications
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Exhibit competency of in-house design programs and procedures
Must be comfortable on the phone with customers and Field Sales

Nice To Haves

Blue Beam, Top View and AutoCAD experience preferred
