About The Position

The Estimator is responsible for providing estimates for work with homeowners, contractors, developers, or architects. This role involves producing accurate lumber & millwork material lists per the plan, reviewing drawings, specifications, and all other construction documents, and estimating projects from start to finish. The Estimator will also review and analyze estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness of information, utilize estimating software for accurate material lists, and understand and adhere to deadlines. The ability to develop competent estimates that meet building codes is essential. Additionally, the Estimator will contribute to a constructive working relationship with the family and contractors to promote a positive and productive atmosphere.

Requirements

Experience is required.
Math skills include basic arithmetic, and geometry.
Ability to read and navigate plans and specifications.
Attention to details and ability to evaluate plans for possible areas of concern.
Understanding of construction materials and applications.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
